iStockphoto recently published an online article describing the many Dos and Don’ts of Vector Illustration in the modern world. Now, while this mostly pertains to people trying to submit to iStockphoto, I find value in the words as an illustrator. I think that a lot of the things they touch on in the article are things that are true of a lot of artists today, mostly those who are looking to make a quick buck versus publishing some quality work. Quality, not quantity, isn’t it?
