Little Big Planet has unleashed Rag Doll Kung Fu costumes to commemorate the launch of the Rag Doll Kung Fu digital download game on the PS3, and I’m lovin’ them! As if it won’t be cool enough to play as a kung fu Sackboy, you’ll be able to sport an afro, a sensei mustache, and a FISH! At least, that’s what the sensei character appears to be holding in his hand.
Another great bonus is the fact that this set will open up a new door for those who like to create characters from scratch, for example, you can now build a Shaft Sackboy character using the afro and handlebar mustache from this set! Or, create your own emo rocker using the stylish black hair from the kung fu punk. The possibilities grow more and more each time a new costume set is released, and that’s just one reason why Little Big Planet is one of the most expandable games around.
Here’s the list of items included in this pack, which costs $5.99 in the Playstation Store:

If you’re a fan of Little Big Planet, then you’ll love these custom crocheted Sackboy dolls that Maggie Wang designs and creates. On her site she displays her Sackboy versions of Hellboy, Spock, Daft Wullie, and Classic Sackboy, of which my favorite is definitely the Hellboy. Little Big Planet needs to make a Hellboy costume to use in the game!
On the popular video gaming site, Kotaku, there is a post showing Maggie’s version of a Prince of Persia Sackboy. VERY cool, and although I love the Hellboy version I must say that this one takes the cake. He’s got a sword and claws, for cryin’ out loud!
I thought these were so cool that a few months ago I actually tried to order one for my wife’s birthday, but after a few attempts at contacting Maggie, I’ve given up. I’m sure she’s overwhelmed with orders and emails, so I’ll have to hold off for a future date. I originally held off on posting about this because I didn’t want to ruin the surprise, but now that I know I won’t get one in time for my wife’s birthday, I can’t hold it any longer. These are just way too cool.
If you actually have luck contacting Maggie and are able to get your own Custom Sackboy ordered, please share by posting links to photos of your Sackboy in the Comments area. I’d love to see what she does next!

Almost as exciting as the Metal Gear Solid app for the iPhone are the Metal Gear Solid Touch Air Jackets, sporting hot graphics of your favorite MGS characters in a variety of poses.
Although the $50 price tag might deter some people, die hard collectors are sure to scoop these up while they’re available. And I’m sure that if they sell enough there will probably be a second line coming out in the future.
Here’s a sneak preview from the MGSTouch Air Jacket site:

Well, now I have one more reason to get an iPhone: the Metal Gear Solid Touch app! Apparently it wasn’t cool enough to have an app specifically for receiving news updates about Metal Gear Solid, so they took it up a few levels and added interactive gaming (sniping with your fingers?!) as well as video and story content from Metal Gear Solid 4.
I’m extremely jealous of anyone who is able to get this.. I may have to go out and buy an iPhone right now… The app is currently selling for $7.99, so pretty darn reasonable. Check out the official site for more info.
Do you have this app? Please leave your review of the Metal Gear Solid Touch app in the Comments Section.
