We All Scream For Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Just finished coloring this illustration that I did a while back (I’m not even going to mention how long this has been in the ‘To Do’ pile), and I wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy Halloween.

Hope you enjoy the illustration, I’ve included a few monsters and one gigantic pumpkin for your viewing pleasure.

Available as a print in my DeviantART Print Shop as well as my RedBubble Print Shop. Enjoy!

Awesome Jack O’ Lantern Art

I was forwarded a link to a site with some really amazing Jack O’ Lantern sculpts. Sculpts? Well, technically he’s carving these pumpkins, but as the carving isn’t going all the way through the shell of the pumpkin the end result looks more like a relief than a carving. See for yourself, click here to view the entire gallery at Villafane Studios.

My personal favorite is the Predator pumpkin. How awesome is that?!

Horrorfest X a Complete Success

Every year we have an ultimate Halloween bash complete with prizes, themed drinks and plenty of costumes. This year’s Horrorfest X (aptly named as it was the 10th annual) was a complete success, and I’m wishing I was still there! This year my costume was the Joker, and my wife went as Batwoman. What a blast! Here’s a little taste of the action..

Happy Panda Halloween Design

I’m excited to see the Happy Panda Halloween design that I did for their baby apparel for sale online. I dig it, simple yet effective. Pick yours up today! Or, yesterday I suppose..

In other parts of the Halloween world, I witnessed Rob Zombie’s Halloween Horror show last night at the Target Center in Minneapolis and it ruled. Johnny 5’s guitar work was amazing, and the stage show is spectacular. I think Rob was celebrating a bit hard but that was fine because it was Halloween and all. Great times.

Monster Closet Creature Feature

I just ordered my copy of the Monster Closet DVD “Make Your Own Scratch Built Corpse” and I’m super excited. Sounds like my buddy Christian has been super busy the past year working on the DVD, which features a slew of spooky hosts and over two hours of documentation on how to build an authentic-looking corpse for under $5. Just in time for Halloween even!

I’m really looking forward to finding out which products from my local hardware, grocery, and beauty supply stores will actually yield a realistic corpse. Will it be a foam ball covered in hair conditioner? Doubtful. Just looking at the cover of the DVD gives me hope that I’ll be able to create a decent looking prop, and that’s promising considering hands-on art like this is out of my natural range. Here goes nothing, I’ll keep you posted..
